CAR Development Partners is a public private partnership between the Government of the Central African Republic and Ecumene Impact Mining that will help drive the economic development of the Central African Republic.
The Partnership is a next generation inclusive partnership where the sustainable development of the mining industry is a central component of long term sustainable economic development for the country.
The next generation partnership increases the Governments return from its mining assets as part of an overall package that acts as a catalyst for sustained inclusive economic growth.
Central African Republic is a land locked country, with a wealth of undeveloped natural assets and significant mineral resources. The country has a GDP per capita of $945 highlighting the need for natural resource development to drive economic and social growth. The economy is currently split between agriculture 43.2%, services 40.8%, and industry 16%. The country is vast, and is approximately the size of France, Belgium and the Netherlands combined, covering 622,844 km² and is sparsely populated with only 5,400,000 inhabitants; the capital city is Bangui which has a population of 889,231.
CARDP have developed a roadmap for the development of the country’s unexploited mineral wealth which will be sustainably developed to become the government’s central pivot for accelerated national economic growth. CARDP will use the roadmap with its three-phase strategy for resource development that uses Ecumene’s proprietary “geological intelligence” process.
